My Perfect Rainbow
Don't you dare let those dark days take over you
Just believe in yourself and your dreams will come true
Let those positive things colour your day
And you will soon find your way
As red as the poppy that touches my heart
As orange as the lava at the core of the earth
As yellow as the sun that shines down on me
As green as the grass that lays in the fields
As blue as the sky that colours the sea
But don't forget the senseful lavender
For this is my perfect rainbow!
Sophie, this is a wonderful poem. I am very impressed that you wrote this when you had time in between learning. Rainbows always remind me of my Grandma who really loved them. What is your favourite line of you poem and why?
ReplyDeleteHi Miss O,
DeleteI like a lot of lines from the poem but a couple that really stand out to me are 'as blue as the sky that colours the sea' because it makes me picture the ocean with fish swimming around and the sun shining in the bright blue sky. The other line that I like is 'but you can't forget that senseful lavender' because purple is my favourite colour and I love the smell of lavender - reading that line alone makes me feel as though I'm breathing in the refreshing air of a lavender field!
